Esther Citrin's passion and love of dancing began at the very early age of 5 years old. Her extensive dance training in Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, and Ballroom Dancing have allowed her to freely express herself through movement to almost any kind of music. As part of her training in these and other styles of dance, she has performed and competed throughout Canada and the United States, placing among the top in her divisions including receiving 1st place at the 1999 Canadian Open Ballroom Dance Championships in both Latin and Standard. In 2006, Esther began dancing salsa as a member of Los Salsomanos Dance Co. under the direction of Giovanni Torres and has had the opportunity to perform at various salsa congresses and events including the 2006 and 2007 Canada Salsa Congress, the 2007 Montreal Salsa Congress, and the 2007 Miami Salsa Congress. In addition to dancing and teaching salsa professionally, she works as an elementary school teacher where she has successfully implemented a dance program for children as part of the school's extra-curricular activities. For Esther, her devotion to dancing can easily be summed up in four simple words: "Dancing is my Oxygen".
